This workshop teaches a sequence of yoga postures to skillfully journey into backbends with awareness. Sally’s workshops are fun and they offer the opportunity to ask questions while learning yoga postures and modifications that are appropriate for each student. Backbends open the body to deep diaphragmatic breathing nourishing the blood and stimulating lung function. Back bends are wonderful for asthmatics! All levels are invited to attend this workshop. There’s a lot to be aware of such as: setting a firm foundation, hinging, shoulder and hip rotation and executing the golf swing with consistency and confidence. Yoga offers the opportunity to focus on specific needs. With practice the body and mind become steady, balanced, and harmonious like the golf swing.
